1. OVERVIEW
DodgeBot ("the app") is a mobile arcade game available on Android and iOS. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control or delete it.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2A. ACCOUNT INFORMATION (STORED IN FIREBASE)
When you first launch the app, you choose a display name and a unique username. These are stored in our database so your score appears on the leaderboard.

The recovery email is only collected if you choose to add one. It is used solely to send a one-time verification code when you request account recovery. It is never used for marketing.
2B. ANONYMOUS AUTHENTICATION
The app uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign each device a unique anonymous user ID. No email address, password, or personal credentials are required to play. You never see a login screen — this process happens silently in the background.
2C. DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- High score (local copy)
- Profile name (local copy)
- Username (local copy)
- In-game hint preferences
- Discovered items (egg hunt progress)
2D. ADVERTISING
The app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads. This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store any advertising data ourselves.
On iOS, the app will ask for your permission before allowing AdMob to use your device's advertising identifier for personalized ads (App Tracking Transparency). You may decline and the app will continue to show generic ads.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not use your data for marketing, selling to third parties, analytics, behavioral tracking, or profiling.
4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties, except:
- Firebase (Google): stores account data and handles authentication. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
- AdMob (Google): serves ads in the app. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or data brokers are used.
5. IN-APP PURCHASES
DodgeBot offers optional in-app purchases (such as ad removal). We do not collect any payment information. All transactions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details on how they handle payment data.
A Restore Purchases option is available in the app so you can recover any purchases on a new device.
6. DATA SECURITY
All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. The app is configured to block all unencrypted (plain HTTP) network traffic at the operating system level.
7. DATA RETENTION
Your account data (display name, username, score) is retained until you delete your account. Anonymous authentication tokens are managed by Firebase and expire according to Firebase's standard policies.
8. YOUR RIGHTS AND ACCOUNT DELETION
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In-app: Hamburger menu → Profile → Delete Account (email confirmation required)
- By email: Send a deletion request to dodgebot001@dodgebot.app with the subject line "DodgeBot Account Deletion Request". Include your username. We will process your request within 30 days.
- Web form: Visit dodgebot.app/delete
Upon deletion, the following data is permanently removed from our servers: display name, username, high score and level data, and recovery email (if added). Locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the app.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. No real name, address, phone number, or school information is ever requested. The only account identifiers are a chosen display name and username, which do not need to reflect the user's real identity.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us at dodgebot001@dodgebot.app and we will delete it promptly.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
